This year’s Botánika Owners Meet’n’Greet was a very special event, and indeed we had much to celebrate. Botánika Osa Peninsula, Curio Collection by Hilton resort is now complete and looks spectacular! We also managed to deliver phase 2 Botánika Rainforest Residences on time. Our owners were able to stay in their new vacation homes, and without condition, everyone was more than satisfied. Many Botánika owners attended the event a few days in advance, and quite a few stayed longer.
Our first night included a cocktail hour at Evenir conference center – our new Botánika conference facilities, with both Cory & Beau Williams giving a state of the union, followed by an interesting presentation by Jim Córdoba-Alfaro, who is the founder of BioSur Foundation and the Insect Museum at our upland Crocodile Bay village.
After a gourmet buffet dinner at Botánika’s restaurant Tierra a la Mesa, all of our owners joined many townspeople for an incredible evening of dancing and socializing at Delfines Restaurant & Bar right by the beach. And since it was almost Halloween, everyone came dressed in incredible costumes and as their favorite characters. We premiered the best costumes with some fun prizes – and locals and owner’s alike won the awards.
The next day’s bull riding rodeo event at the Casona de Doña Tere in Puerto Jimenez included perhaps too much excitement and a beautiful firework display – arranged by Botánika specifically for our owners. Once again we opened the doors to this event for the local townspeople who joined us for a very good time.
The night of riding bulls was followed by a day-tour of the Golfo Dulce on a beautiful 70-foot catamaran. Our owners were joined by several pods of dolphins, which especially delighted the children on board. After lunch, the captain dropped anchor on the Golfito side of the gulf for a refreshing swim and snorkel. Many considered this cruise the highlight of the event as it gave our owners several hours to acquaint themselves. The food and drink on board were both delicious and plentiful.
On the last night, we celebrated a good time with live Costa Rican reggae music and dance at our beautiful lagoon-shaped pool at Botánika’s Driza Bar and Grill. Needless to say, a good time was had by all.
Today we are planning the next Botánika Owners Meet’n’Greet and Fishing Tournament for the May – June 2023 timeframe. We hope to see you there!
